Yes you do, at least partly.

You said what the SUV driver did was not right.

HumblePie said what the SUV drive did was right.

You are treating "motorcycle group" as ONE entity.

I'm SURE there were few that didn't want part of it and they might have been run over by the SUV.

You cannot generalize and say "they were all in on it"...cause that's simply not true.

You said that what the SUV driver did was not right when in fact it was right b/c he was fearing for his life and trying to escape. That was the RIGHT move.

Hence why I pointed out that you did disagree with HumblePie.

Law doesn't work that way unfortunately.

He will be charged with attempted manslaughter regardless.

Can someone confirm the age of the child? I saw one report say the child was 2 years old and another say the child was 5 months old.

Yeah, and while we're at it, we need to know the type of tires on the SUV, whether he was using Premium fuel, and the brand of shoes the bikers were wearing.

Any other irrelevant information that we need to know?

No he won't. Unless the law in NYC is completely stupid. There are laws that pertain to mobs in all 50 states. If you are part of the mob you are just as culpable even if you do not do anything. Just being there makes you an accomplice. The man from the SUV will not be charged with anything and hasn't been thus far.

As a father of two children, I was wondering how traumatic the experience would be to the child. If the child were 5 months old, the experience would be much less traumatic than if the child were 2 years old.

You're getting off topic here. I simply pointed out the fact that you said "i don't disagree." when in reality, you did disagree partly to what HumblePie said. I even quoted it. Now stop trying to make something out of nothing.

The SUV was right in his actions which is what you disagreed on with HumblePie.

Also, how do you know he will be charged with attempted manslaughter? How are his actions considered attempted manslaughter? He wasn't trying to intentionally kill anyone. He was trying to GTFO of there.

Big gulp anyone?

😀

I posted this series of unfortunate events on My FB wall. I have a couple of friends who are pretty big in motorcycles and have done similar, yet way smaller, rides. I am interested to hear what they have to say.

From what I've seen so far, I believe all those guys on the bikes are fucking idiots and I don't blame the Range Rover driver one bit.

I'm a member of the San Diego Sportbike Meetup group and most of them are saying the same thing... including me.

This whole thing is infuriating. I just saw a "legal expert" on CNN muse about the driver of the SUV being charged. The mother of an injured biker said "he had many options, and he chose the violent one".

BULL SHIT, lady. Your son was riding with goons who were harassing an innocent man, probably because he was Asian and driving an expensive vehicle. There's a good chance they're a bunch of fucking racists.

Why am I so upset? Because I've been caught up in these packs of morons several times during my daily commute over the years and it's frustrating as shit.

You fuckers don't OWN THE ROAD. Stop playing the intimidation games already.

Anyone who thinks the SUV driver should or will be charged needs to shut the fuck up. Right now.

The NYC Commish has already come out and said no charges will be filed against him.

I've witnessed this NY gang of riders, they are literally a bunch of scumbags, low lives.

Hope the judge throws the fuckin book at them

No way, the bikers filmed their own damning evidence. They escalated the situation, the driver of the SUV feared for his life and the safete of his family. As would any sane human would.

I seriously doubt he will be charged with anything.

its unfortunate this was some e-geek graduate from columbia that had no clue what to do there. most of us would be ramming, reversing and sideswiping through these bunch of fucking douches.

http://nypost.com/2013/10/01/cops-bust-bike-thug/

A police source said many of the bikers who cops have spoken to so far haven’t been any help in their probe.

“The motorcyclists are being uncooperative, those that have been interviewed. … They’re full of crap. They’re saying they didn’t see anything. They’re saying, ‘I was just standing there.’ It’s a joke. They’re tracking down the others. They went out to Brooklyn last night to look for a third guy.”

Cruz was briefly hospitalized and released for minor injuries, including lower back pain, authorities said.

doesn't sound like a good thing to do on a highway, you risk killing yourself. He should just have gone on with a decent speed so that they couldn't smash the window and unlock the car, and push them laterally if they approached too much.

He could have done that but these guys wanted to hurt him for their own idiotic mistakes. He could have charged into them to send a message. And he did drive away and look what happened to him.

amen. I'd have floored that suv and swiped those fucks and backed the suv over them to make sure they can't get back up. This guy lost to a bunch of bikes in a freggin SUV.
