Lanboy VS X-Sonic

Is it just me or are the Antec Lanboy and the Chenming/Chieftec X-Sonic cases the exact same case only with a different front bezel? Both are aluminum, both have the honeycomb rear fan cutout, both have the funky glow fan holder in the front, both have the one drive rail system, both come with a 350W PSU (though I totally prefer the SmartBlue in the Lanboy over the Channel Well in the X-sonic). Though both cases have windows, the lanboy has like a 3/4 window and the x-sonic has the full window with a sidefan above where the CPU should be. How much do you think that side fan will affect cooling? I was thinking about getting a new case maybe.. this summer.. and since I only got 4 drives total (DVD-ROM, CD-RW, HD, Floppy) I don't think I need a full tower because the mid-tower should be more than plenty. And I figured since I just started college I'm going to be moving around a lot and it'd just be nicer to have a light case. What do you guys think about the two cases?

I got a Lanboy...not set up yet. There are several brands floating around, all made by one manufacturer, so this is probably what you're seeing. I really don't think you'll be saving much weight by going aluminum. The really heavy parts of the computer are what's inside. Also consider this...that cute al case will dent, bend, and basically get beat up much faster than steel. The Lanboy comes with a very nice carrying strap, but if I were carrying a computer around alot, I'd get an Antec 2600. Made from steel, tight, tough, no window, and much more likely to survive multiple moves without looking like a beat-up POS..

Honestly, I would only get aluminum if weight means a lot to you. The Lanboy is extremely lite, but tends to bend easily. I would only get it if you need to carry it around a lot. The lanboy felt really weak compared to my chieftec tower. A alternative might be the shuttle xpc's. Their small and fast.
