Lana Del Rey

I like Lana Del Ray but according to the internet the word kewl is described as:

A stupid way of spelling "cool". Made up by morons. "I'm a stupid whore who spells cool "kewl"

So I guess you were right about getting shat on, just not about what it would be for.

Kewl

Meh, seems to be just another produced pop person (as in they actively setup her persona and style, it's marketing more than her being some individual talent). It's ok for what it is I guess (they seem to be going for "authentic" where instead of autotuning her to hell they just leave in her constantly breathing while singing to give it a sultry sound kinda like the Amy Winehouse and similar that was popular for a little while there).

BoomerD she was the one that got really popular for that song Video Games (that has nothing to do with video games it's just a phrase put in the song; there had been hype around her but it seemed just marketing BS to try and prop her up) and then went on SNL and bombed a few years back.

"She shared how her only friend in boarding school was a young teacher, Gene Campbell, who exposed her to music and pop culture in his car on their weekend driving trips,[17][28][29] and in her song Boarding School, she writes "make love with our teachers."

"She was in a relationship with Kassidy ex-member Barrie-James O'Neill from August 2011 until June 2014.[198][199][200] Previously, Del Rey was in a relationship with alternative rock and antifolk musician, Steven Mertens, who produced her debut album, Lana Del Ray, before it was re-recorded by David Kahne.[15] She was also in a seven-year-long on-again, off-again relationship with the head of a record label, who was a great inspiration to her and whom she calls the love of her life.[201] She met him in her early twenties when she was trying to have her debut album released by a major label, and they are still close."

typical, used sex to get anywhere from high school all the way up to her music career

also, are her lips fake?

she did pick a winner of a stage name

her real name is elizabeth grant, but hell

Lana Del Ray sounds way fucking cooler

I need an Elizabeth in my life, I havnt had one since 1st grade when I was asked to dance with this blonde I liked and I declined like I was asked to do something horrible. Bish was hot and became even hotter in 6th grade. We couldve been like Bonnie and Clyde today. Hoe.

I'm not sure why the fuck I said no, I was a weird kid. I don't know and no were my favorite words for some reason. And I also used to love to say shit in kindergarten.

She nailed Marilyn Manson, IIRC... That was enough for me.

Shrug, guess I'm in the minority but I actually really liked her first album. The whole album seemed well put together and I can't say there was a particularly bad song on there. Haven't paid much attention to her newer stuff. She only really got radio fame when they remixed summertime sadness, which I initially felt ruined the along but got used to it.

Not terrible but I wouldn't spend money on her music. I listened to samples from her Ultraviolence album and every song sounded the same. I give her credit for I F'ed My Way Up to the Top, not because it's good but because it has a Nouvelle Vague feel about it.

Her voice is unique and I like a couple of her songs a lot (Blue Jeans & Summertime Sadness). Would smash factor of 7.6 on the richter scale.
