LAN speed question

If I had 4 computers and a router in which 3 of the computers and router are capable of 10/100mbps and 1 computer only capable of 10mbps, how will this effect the network speed as a whole and/or the computer itself?

I wasn't sure if my whole network speed would be running 10mbps? Or if it only effects the communication between the slower (10mbps) and faster (100mbps) resulting in a common 10mbps? Or would it only effect the 10mbps with connection to the internet? (maybe a combination of things?)

Thanks!

your setup would be running at 100Mbps except for your one machine that can only run at 10Mbps.

Just get a 10/100 NIC for that machine and that PC will be at 100Mbps

Your internet connection speed (if it's a broadband) won't even show a difference on the 10Mbps machine, since your speed probably won't be any higher than 3Mbps (if that). However getting a 10/100Mbps card will improve file sharing to and from that PC.
