LAN--->Server--->router---> Client...problems

---I have a router sending DHCP all over the appartment, and plugged it in to my windows .NET server box.....

success..actually typing this from there while I troubleshoot...

---A second NIC goes into another router, which has a PC connected to it....

I am trying to setup a domain with aprts I already have without buying crossover cable

Anyways, the connection between the second(internal Net) NIC on the server and the WAN port on the second router does not work...I get a cable error.

Do I need crossover cable from NIC to WAN port?

WAN port is an Uplink, thus Crossover to NIC type of port.

If the Router that you refer to is an Entry Level cable/DSL Router, it will not work.

The WAN port of the Router can get input from a Cable or DSL Modem. You can not connect it to another NIC and perform double Routing.
