lan party - what to bring?

well other than beer...however I feel kinda stupid asking this question as networking is one area of computers I neglected to learn...but here it goes...I'm going to a lan party soon and I'm wondering what exactly would I need to bring? I'm assuming just a nic card right?

A serious answer for you:
Nic card
A long network cable for yourself (and maybe an extra)
Two power strips (since someone will forget theirs)
An extra mouse (since someone will break theirs)
Headphones
An extra computer power cable (since someone will forget theirs)
All your game cd's
Drags and Ulcohol.
Bandages for your butt (since this is your first lan party you're going to have pieces of it blown off).

In other words, bring your gear plus some extras. Someone always forgets something and if you can prevent a run to the local computer store you can spare yourself a DUI.

Bring your computer, network card, long cat5 cable, sleeping bag and pillow, chair, personal hygene stuff, and games you want to play. Porn can also increase your popularity but it can also make you a perv.

Always bring a power strip, so you don't net subtract any plugs from the community.
Consider bring a small hub/switch, same principle.
If your PC case isn't lightweight, now's a good time to think about a new case, 'cause lugging it around isn't going to be very fun.

Bah! It's not that bad bringing a big tower, I bring a midtower and a full tower along with a 19" crt and a 15" crt.
