Arg....I want to sign up, but I'll be leaving Phoenix on the 21st to head over for a VIP grand opening party in Vegas.

I'll have to see when they need me over there by. I can maybe squeeze in a few hours Saturday morning through the afternoon.

Next one you have though...I'm there for sure.
 
Vegas is lame! skip it entirely! On the other hand, if you win anything in vegas.. YOU'RE funding the next party =)

I'd love to skip it, but I've got $60,000 worth of Point of Sale equipment I have to make sure is running in tip top shape for a grand opening of a restaurant. A bunch of high rollers are going to be on site and I don't want my shiz crashing on them.

It's actually a pretty slick system. And it's is as solid as the equipment you put it on. Only problem I've had is a RAID controller freaking out and nuking a raid 1 volume. D'oh!

time to get better hardware it sounds. Makes me glad that I don't *have* to guarantee 99.999% uptime on the game servers at the lan parties. I had an MSI board (courtesy of evan) freak out and the primary IDE channel died. Similar thing happened to the biostar board that DeathByAnts had. Something about being associated with anandtech seems to equate to storage issues in life...

Oh well, good luck with that whole thing. Just make sure you get back to town in time for the party. =)
 
Hmm... I wonder if I will be working and if I could get a ride... Anyway, this is a BYOC event I take it and what games will there be played? i'm too lazy to browse through the whole LAN-Central site on a 56k connection.
 
We will certainly do our damnedest to make it worth the trip!

On that note, I just got word from arctic silver that theyre sending more of their ceramique compound, along with confirmation from Adul that OCZ will be sending ram for our giveaway stash!
