I never said it was, I'm saying that a lot of the crap-flinging at Italian and British "supercars" is sour grapes. "Well the GT-R and ZR-1 are just as fast as the 458! It's a piece of crap!" 🙄 I'm saying, as a package, high-end Euro monsters are still of higher quality (and generally more attractive). They aren't a value, at all, but folks that are buying them aren't just shopping for raw horsepower, either.
So basically this post is exactly opposite of this thread's purpose. OP specifically asked about beating those cars in performance and performance alone. And that is mind numbing easy to accomplish. Nobody here has said a 1000 HP Civic is "nicer" than a Ferrari, just faster.
Nobody is saying they don't appreciate exotics or that they are crap, just that they aren't anything special in the performance department, esp for gear heads who modify their cars.
As a gear head, I don't see the appeal. Would I like a Ferrari? Sure. I'd still be pissed the first time a beater raped my face. But I've just never been obsessed to the point of spanking it every day over every car north of $100,000 like 99% of AT Garage.
Speaking of, I think we should rename AT Garage to AT Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche/Veyron honestly, because that's all many of the computer nerds with Kias on AT that come to Garage care about half the time anyway.
