"Priced at $2,988, the laptops come with enough padding to survive six separate drops from a height of 30 inches onto two 3/4-inch sheets of plywood placed on top of concrete."
Umm ok?? most $900 laptops can survive 6 2 1/2 foot drop onto a sheet of plywood on top of a 6 inch thick sheet of steel. They should make it like it can survive drop from 4 foot or something. who the heck is going to buy that neon bulk brick? stupid GM.

Irony? Irony, as per the definition you yourself linked, is when the actual result of an event is the opposite of what was expected.
For example:
Lamborghini manufactures exotic fast cars. Lamborghini does not manufacture laptops. It is expected, however, that Lamborghini would see value in associating themselves with other exclusive and fast products. Intel partnering with Lamborghini in branding their upcoming high-end dual-core laptops may seem silly, but it is certainly not ironic.
Another example:
You posted a link to the definition of irony. It is expected that you would have read and understood the definition of irony since you saw fitting to link to a page containing that definition. It is therefore ironic that you don't understand the meaning of irony.
