lambics and premium craft brews

What are some good lambics or premium craft brews to drink? I am looking at the beers that often come in the 750 ml for $15 or less. I have been looking at the kreik and framboise.

Yeah, I saw 9%. My usual goto beer, Delirium, is 8.5%. Need moar :awe:
I've only had delirium tremens out of the bottle and I thought it was pure garbage, though a friend who loves it agreed the bottled version was subpar but on tap it was otherworldy. Please report your comparisons with chimay.

Both good choices.
Anything chimay, chimay blue is still the measuring stick by which all beers are compared
Also very good.

Pure garbage? Was it just the one time? Maybe you had a badly stored bottle?

Just the one time, I think I had a sip of my friends draft but I can't remember

This makes me think that my theory of watered down piss sometimes making it into my Delirium bottle is correct D:

Seriously, I've had one or two (out of 50-60) that were BAD. I chalked it up to whatever food I was eating with it at the time. On tap has always been great.

Absolutely. I'll take it any day over Chimay.

Also, if you want something more forgiving on the wallet see if you can find offerings by unibroue.

Their Trois Pistoles is freaking awesome. Or if you really want a treat, get their "Terrible" ale.

Yes, can't go wrong with these either.
I'm looking forward to cracking open one of the Trader Joe Vintage Ales from last winter that's aging in my cellar (which, unless my info is bad, comes from Unibroue).

Not to hijack the thread, but........ thanks for the suggestions!
