Whew. Good thing the Wolves won this game. Or else we would've had the incessant whining from them just like from the Kings.

Yeah, we *still* hear it from the Kings

No one has mentioned the Kings in this thread except you Lakers guys, just keep it to the current series!

zomb13 is obviously a Kings fan~

Just because he hates the Lakers doesn't mean he is a Kings fan. ;)

He just admitted it~

heh Im now a wolves fan, GO KG!!!

Okay okay. Game over lets all agree to keep the flaming down. :)

It's going to be one of hell of a game 4! Lets hope for betting officiating as a whole.

Well I guess I could say I am a Wolves fan now that I think of it. KG grew up like 30 minutes from where I went to high school

Well, the Lakers sucked throughout the most of the game today. I am not so surprised they lost.

The only reason the Lakers were in it as long as they were was because of the horrid officiating. The Wolves just had more heart tonight, plain and simple.

It'll be interesting to hear what Phillip says, he always whines like a little beeyatch when he gets spanked a la the Mother's Day Massacre.

"'We got a royal ass-whipping out there. I really have nothing to say, no questions to answer, except happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there.''

The Lakers really shot themselves in the foot this time... Missed many many easy clutch shots... They didn't deserve to win...

Well I personally feel that one bad call can't decide a game. I do believe that there were so many bad calls this game that I am amazed Minn won.

Like Karl was bitching about one call from the Nets/Bucks game. He said the one no call at the end of the game lost it for them. I believe in letting the guys play in the playoffs.

It was obvious tonight in the Lakers game that they were calling anything that APPEARED to be a foul. It just happened that Lakers did a better job at making stuff LOOK like fouls. That isn't how it should be.

That's one of my big gripes about foul calls in the playoffs. Seasoned veterans know that the officials will call things that are questionable/borderline but appear to be a foul, so they continue to flop/twist/wrestle/do whatever they need to, to get those calls. Reggie Miller has got to be one of the worst offenders of this, he'll literally take his defender's arm and shove it in his jersey and proceed to twist and contort his body to make it look like the defender is grabbing his jersey and throwing him around. Or even in the game earlier today he kicked his feet out at an oncoming defender while shooting a three and got the call.

Really irks me when fouls get called on those kinds of things, especially when it's blatantly obvious that the foul should've been called the other way.

I have to admit, KG sure is a class act. I never gave him too much credit or respect until now.

Craig Sager asked KG what he thought after Game 1 of the series when everyone was saying that they were going to be swept. KG goes "We were like you and that suit, we just went out and played and didn't care what other people thought." It was something along those lines, but it was a lot funnier watching KG in action saying all that.

Well, even when the Lakers play horribly, they always seem to find a way to put it together and win. Like Game 7 against Portland in 2000. Watching the first 3 quarters, I jsut about gave up on them because they played like they didn't want it, but when the 4th came around they got down to business. Also, when Sac extended them to Game 5 in that year, they just buried them. Then the next year was a cakewalk. But last year, they managed to put teams away still. No 2nd chances, no giving away games to Portland, SA or Sac. This year is different, but I still have them as the champs. They just gotta play like they are capable of playing.
Can't wait to see Game 4...

Yeah, but wouldn't it be much sweeter if the Kings knock off the Lakers in the WCF? It's the ultimate payback. At this rate, the Kings will just bulldoze through the Mavs, Spurs, and then the Sixers for the Championship... Sigh... so uneventful.

I just realized that this is a best of 7 series... I thought Round 1 of the NBA playoffs is best of 5??? Did they change it this year or something???
