Lakers doing well so far

What's up with this team? The bench squad is playing pretty well, especially Farmar and Bynum.

They are in the same exact situation they were in last season before they started getting plagued by injuries and secret ski trips.

Will Kobe stay in LA if they prove to be title contenders come All-Star weekend? Even if he recants, would he make such a change in stance public? Or just stay quiet until they get however far they end up getting into the playoffs?

Kobe has stepped up his defensive game considerably this year. Last year he made a statement with his offense and this year looks like hes trying to make a statement with his defense. We all know D-Fish is great D... Farmar is stepping up his D.... and now that Ariza is in play (great D) I think the Lakers will be a surprise contender this year.

Bynum has worked hard in the offseason to improve. I think it's paying off.
