Anyone else notice that both teams have traveled on at least fifteen occassions (without being penalised)? What is the new rule? It was 1.5 steps.
Yep Old Shaq has Happy feet big time

It's been 2 steps for a long time. it isn't called much though, never has been really.

Now as a Jersey resident I'll even admit that the Lakers are the better team with more talent, but I still find it absolutely ridiculous that the Lakers are in the Finals instead of the Kings. The refs STOLE the series from the Kings and it was so blatantly obvious. If you've been tuning into the Nets Lakers game that's currently going on, you would have heard the announcer pointing out the ridiculous lack of offense foul calls against the Lakers TWICE so far... fouls that even a 3 year old couldn't miss. David Stern is either blind or a hardcore Lakers fan to say that there's nothing wrong with the current officiating system.

NOTE: I am NOT a Kings fan nor do I have any reason to bitch out of bitterness.

It's always been that way for the longest time. Take a look at some old Ewing highlights.

I seriously thought you were from Texas. Guess I better look at that return address when I get a package.

Note to self, Don't diss people you trade with🙂

I could care less. That's what these boards are for: bustin chops.

The Nets have to be the worst team to make it to the finals it at least.......well.......as far as I can remember, maybe ever. I feel bad for Byron Scott, he deserves better.

I wouldn't go that far.

Can you name a team in recent memory that made it to the finals, that were as mediocre as these Nets? The only one that comes to mind is the 99 Knicks, and I think even they were better.

God how did the Celtics lose to this team? If the NBA was REALLY rigged, the Nets would not be in the finals. Put Chicago in. At least they'll give the Lakers a run for their money.

So then why get so excited when they win if they are playing a second rate team. What's so exciting about beating some team that has no chance. Wouldn't that be like getting all excited because you beat some 5 year old at the hundred yard dash? Sounds like you lakers fans are really just a bunch of braggards.

When do the finals start? After the huge drama of the Lakers/Kings series, this series is a major letdown. That series had it all, this series doesn't have much. There isn't even any trash talking between these teams, they've been kissing each other's asses all week.

ROTFLMAO.....SHAQ FINALLY PUNCHED JIM GRAY....LOL....😛

Did Kobe really have to embarassed New Jersey with 2 extra 3 pointers?

I'm not sure if any Laker fans are really excited. Our excitement started after the Kings lost and now we're bored really. Just waiting patiently for the handing of the trophy...

I'm excited because they are going to win their third title in a row, not excited because of who they are playing. It's not like the fans had a choice. Besides, where did you see me get all excited? Any excitement I have is over the inevitable results of the series, not the games.

Do you really need an answer? 🙂

Gee than I suppose that makes the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics totally sh*tty teams. Might I remind you who beat those 2 teams... the Celtics in 5 nonetheless? If it was the Celtics in the Finals than you wouldn't say the same. Just b/c the Nets don't have lots of star players, they play TOGETHER as a team well. Sure the Celtics have Rodney Rogers, Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce while the Lakers have Kobe and Shaq, but that is not to say that the Nets are not a good TEAM simply because they have few notable names on their team.

You can tell when they get excited. They start talking about Trading players at halftime and getting the current owner to sell the team🙂

Nets have a good team but offensively they're blah. They don't play the perimeter game very well and with Shaq in the middle, they can't really score. At least Celtics will give the Lakers a good run since they have the outside shot.
