Yea, some kind of special I saw on my350z. Apparently we're going to be lumped up with a bunch of Minis for our group as well.

Awesome! HOD is by far the most organized group in the bay area (though the other groups are great too), but I haven't run with them in years because of their price.

holden j caufield, the track days are organized by outside clubs, not usually the track. You can sign up as long as their is room.

You can see some example schedules at:

laguna seca is a lot of fun, and the track has a nice rhythm to it. we were the first session out and had to dry out the track, was supppper foggy in the morning. as the day went out it turned into a gorgeous day

corkscrew is pretty scary the first time around, blind crest and all...

Nice. I'll be there November 1st. :)

I went to Thunderhill on the 8th and it was a blast. Was the first time going with HOD and I must say they're one of the best I've run with. It ended up raining after lunch.. first time out on the track in the rain. At first it was kinda weird, but I got used to it and started to really enjoy it. HOD also opened the skidpad when there was a lightning delay. That was pretty fun too.

NCRC I assume? I'll probably run Laguna again with Trackmasters or might run Infineon instead

Heh, try it on a motorcycle. I was fine with the initial turn in. It's the switchback to the right that gave me the Oh Crap feeling. Has to happen so much faster than you ever anticipated.

Yeah, HOD is by far the most organized group I've run with over the past few years. However, they are the most expensive. You managed to get a sweet deal, but usually they are $285 for 5 sessions!

Compare that to Lotus club @ $145 for basically open pit, and NCRC @ 125 for 5 sessions...

Yea, with NCRC. A couple Z guys I know are going also. I'll be at Infineon this weekend for NASA's Hyperdrive. Didn't have the time to dedicate to a full day but I've never taken my car around Infineon (I have with other cars) so its a win win for me.

@helpme - It indeed was a deal. I had always wanted to do one through them before but that $300 price tag is steep. First time I had an instructor with me and it helped me out greatly.

@brainhulk - I've seen some cars bottom out there.
