How come I can download 100+ KB/sec, but when I try to play an online game I get 1000+ms? Even when I had 56k I didnt get this kind of lag in videogames!
 
We need to know more about your connection.

Are you running any file share services (bittorrent, edonkey, etc)?

What game also?
 
DSL. Not running any file sharing services. This is for Worlf of warcraft. I get a high MS everywhere, not just the major cities.
 
Have you tried another game? I hear WoW servers get pretty laggy sometimes.

Also, what are your system specs?

 
It's not my computer. The internet connection at my old house didnt give me any problems. I had about the same download speeds, and World of warcraft gave me 70+MS. Downloading and surfing the web at the same speed on this new connection, but internet games are just a lot slower.
