The country should be able to sue her for being the poster child for dumb texter

"I realized when I was in the water;
Unfortunately I didn't have anything to hold on to and hold my balance
I was texting a friend of mine from church"

Sounds like she's trying to make her BS case!

Hey; the city owes me money! I ran into a power-line while changing radio stations and, I didn't realize I had crashed until I hit the pole...

Unfortunately I didn't have an air-bag to run into or bright yellow reflective paint to help guide me away from the pole.

I was putting it on conservative Christian radio...

Won't somebody think of MY feelings?!

Am I the only one who thinks the mall was wrong to let it go viral? Most people would be distressed by being ridiculed internationally.

What negates that argument is the fact that Nobody would know who she was until she let the cat out of the bag herself. If she had kept her mouth shut this: "Most people would be distressed by being ridiculed internationally" would not be a problem.

It was funny as shit though wasn't it.

If that's true that's fine but I imagine word could have been spread fairly quickly around her community based on only a few people knowing who she is.

I think that we need a system where if a case is deemed frivolous both the plaintiff AND attorney who takes a turkey case should be fined.

That would be awesome! Sadly I think a number of juries would still find in favor of defendants because they secretly hope to be able to sue someone for millions. That's why there are all those lawyer commercials touting their huge settlements

And what happens when someone trips ans falls on the razor wire while texting?

Hopefully, they'll suffer deep cuts and bleed to death almost instantaneously so they cannot sue! So the better options is to have Great White Sharks with laser guides so all evidence will not be too obvious.

The Mall should sue her for tesspassing in their fountain.

She did not bother to mention her criminal record either.
