Lady in the Water

pontifex

Just finished watching it and I really liked it. I thought it was a pretty cool story, even if it was a little goofy at times.

Terrible movie. All I remember is that the beginning, middle, and end were bad. I wouldn't have paid for it if I expected it to be bad.

I thought it it was terrible. So bad I almost walked out, unfortunately I was watching it on a plane...

4 TIMES AWARD WINNER! 😛

It had some good scenes in it, but what movie don't? I can see why so many studios passed on this mess, I mean movie.

Shammy needs to stick to directing and leave the convoluted, moralizing screenplays to others next time...

LOL!

That's what parachutes are for. 😉

It was ok as a kids movie, but as an "M Night Shyamalan" movie it just didn't fit with what people expected from him. It was a long way away from Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village, or even Unbreakable.

It looks like his next move, The Happening, will be a lot more like his previous work. Hopefully he doesn't screw it up.

I'm one the few people that liked it too. I think a lot of movies fail because of people's expectations.

Expectations? His movie before that was The Village... expectations couldn't have been lower.

I liked the Village as well!

The Village was good IMO, better than Signs or Unbreakable. Sixth Sense being his best movie.

I thought signs was the best, the village next. I didn't love the sixth sense, and unbreakable was alright. lady in the water was ok too

was bored.
i mean it wasn't that bad, but i guess many people are a bit tired of being jerked around by shamalan.

I had liked all of his movies until this one. Even "The Village" which most everyone else seemed to hate, is about 10x better then this movie was

"The Happening" looks interesting so we'll see

I was on a long flight and they had a few movies. This was one of them. 10 minutes into it I had no clue what they were talking about and it moved entirely too slow to keep going. I don't like Paul Giamatti to begin with either.
