Lady Gaga: Born This Way (Full Album) - Amazon MP3 - $0.99

ive never heard any of this gaga stuff yet, but this chick seems like a mix of marilyn manson with madonna... just going by the advertising.
 
Saw this on slickdeals and picked it up this morning. Killer deal on the hottest album of the year. Note that Amazon is getting WRECKED by all the sales though and it might be a few days before you can actually download the full album. Right now I can only stream four of the songs.
 
Not a fan either, but I bought it anyways. It's not bad - I'm an 80's music fan, and it does have sort of an 80's feel to it (IMO)
 
For those that just can't admit to liking her or her music, go with the extra 20G's of storage space included for $.99 as your reason for buying it.

At 99 cents, I guess the record company is artificially trying to bolster first week sales. Prince was able to chart high by giving away concert CD freebees, but those type of figures are no longer counted toward official sales.
 
I have close to zero interest in the artist, but if the song is one intended to make a statement about the nature of homosexuality that corrects the bigots, I'm tempted to buy it just to support (in terms of adding a sale, the 0.99 is hardly monetary help) the cause.

:thumbsup: I was thinking the same thing, I listened to the title track out of morbid curiousity and it actually has a positive message.
 
I love amazon (and the cloud service)! I was able to buy the mainstream and the special edition at a cost that's less than the special edition from itunes. Great deal for this closet fan.

She really is. Though I'd throw in a little Lords of Acid, too.

I think she's made no bones about the fact that she's a "performance artist", not just a pop star. So that helps put things in perspective. At least she writes her own music and performs it with passion.

IMO, this album isn't as good as her first ("The Fame")... which isn't to say it's bad.

I'm reading this as a lead loss by Amazon to get more people using their music and cloud services.
