Anybody know a good way to get rig of these things, It seems like we have thousands of the damn things and they stink when you squish them.

Don't kill them!! Move them outside!! You can use a dustbuster to suck them up and release them away from the house. Hell, box them up and ship them to me, I need some in my greenhouse. 😉

oh... thought it was another rodney dangerfield tribute thread.
Chester: A girl doesn't give the opposing team the finger. A girl doesn't call the referee a blind bastard. A girl doesnt slap another girl on the ass and say, "You're hot stuff!" And a girl doesn't say "I gotta take a leak so bad I can taste it!"

But will they survive in a vacuum? 🙂

What I thought was gonna be a cute and cuddly little farm turned out to be the nightmare from hell. What I found out was these guys were somehow escaping the 2 inch by 2 inch cube I'd leave them in and one by one they'd eat anything they could in the house. For the first few weeks I had no idea what it was. I mean after all, i didn't know the lady bugs would escape. But they would manage to get themselves back in during the night! And it didn't stop there. They managed to tear their eway through my son's lower, left leg. And not ONE ladybug was found in his flesh. They simply ate and ran. I later found out these guys were actually fitted with microchips and minicams to see how people actually treated them. It was a PETA project. I'm now writing to you inside a white-collar detention facility for a few months. Thank God for conjugal visits.

I would pefer not to squish them or use bug spray. Dump them outside to freeze and they are dead anyhow.

Ladybugs eat aphids which help plants in your area. Once there food runs out they will leave. Until then they are doing you a favor.

They survive just fine. Entomologists use this method frequently.

Strangely, we had a lot last year, but almost none this year (in Michigan).

Same thing here. I think Michigan got lucky this year.

We were swamped with them last summer, horrible little bastards. We bought one of those Dirt Devil carry-around vaccums to use to suck them all up.

lady bugs are good for the enviornment, they only show up when enviornmental conditions are favorable for their survival..let them be.. Lady bugs are usually red with black spots.. the black ones with white spots.. well those are posionous i believe.
