Ladies and Gents it is time for the ultimate game

subtle (I actually pronounce the 'b')
Warsaw (it sounds bad to my ears, so I always pronounce it in a way that tongue-ties me)

In Latin- and Greek-rooted words, I substitute ancient pronunciations for modern ones---but mostly only to myself.

Develop.

No matter what, I cannot pronounce it correctly. I pronounce it like as in.. "DEV.." DEV.. eh-lop. Most people pronounce it Deevelop. No matter how hard i train to say it "the correct" way, i can't seem to do it. arg.

Colonel.

I thought Kernal and Colonel were different things. I always pronounced Col. Col-loh-nel. And people laughed, until recently did I learn that it's pronounced "Kernel." lol. Sounds almost French. Pronouncing "Colonel" phonetically w/ a heavy french accent sounds like "kernel" lol.

Subtle.

I always, always pronounced it "SUB-Tel," until when I said it, someone laughed at me. I put on a wierd face, and he told me he laughed because it's pronounced "Suttle"

ohh...
