Thanks to FW....

Found THIS at my local radio shack.

multi-media keyboard and mouse; rf 27MHz ps/2 reciever

No idea what the range is. Looks average+ 800dpi laser mouse. Spill resistant keyboard.

A few left on the shelf at the Proctor location in tacoma WA.

edit: sale valid till 2/10/07

good luck

How's the range on those guys? Bought an OEM MS wireless KB/M for my new DLP...I'm getting ~6-7 feet before the range dies. This is a lot less than what I paid, albeit PS/2.

I don't know about the range, but the mouse response sucks and the keyboard is a little sticky but has gotten better. I just got it about 30 minutes ago.

Still trying to figure out why office work people want wireless keyboard and mouse. Do people usually use a mouse across the room on their lap? At best they only irritate you peridically when the batteries die or need a recharge. The bad ones are truly miserable. That being said people want them. Any other reports on this model?

I know at home i move my keyboard an mouse around all the time, esepcially when i need to work on my desk, the keyboard goes on the floor. and often when i'm browsing the internet the keyboard goes on my lap, I wouldn't go without wireless anymore, and if you get good stuff, the batteries are hardly an issue, but i liek rechargable mice better, my old logitech wireless mouse liked to eat batteries

Picked one up. They were marked $29.99 on the shelf, but showed up in the system as $19.99. When I checked out and the receipts started printing, the clerk said "oh, there's a rebate - look! Here's another one! Hey! This is free! Is that why you're buying it?" I just smiled and, as I was leaving, I saw him take one and put it under the counter.

Thanks for the heads-up on this, ttown.
