+1. Taiyo-Yuden hub printable media is 40 cents (usd) per DVD (8x +R).

The issue with labels and DVDs is that a slightly off-center label will cause the disc to wobble enough to create read errors. Read errors can reduce the playback performance. Plus, no peel and stick annoyance. But the negative is that the label "stamper" is fun to play with ;)

I have never experienced any problems with using neato labels and their applicator.

I've tried several applicators, and frankly, I haven't found them any better than just buying labels, running them through my inkjet, and carefully applying them by hand. It works.

An Epson RXXX version will print on printable CD's & DVD's. It does a very good job.
I use 8X RiTek RiData DVD-R from Super Media Store.
I just don't care for the hub printable blanks.
