That's right, Los Angeles is ruder than New York.

The survey measured a number of different categories. Out of 35 major cities, LA also ranked dead last in public transportation and pedestrian-friendliness.

The feature comes as part of Travel &Leisure's annual "Favorite Cities Survey.”

Here are the 10 worst:

10. Dallas/Fort Worth

9. Orlando

8. Las Vegas

7. Baltimore

6. Boston

5. Washington DC

4. Miami

3. Philadelphia

2. New York City

1. Los Angeles

But there is something to that idea of southern charm: Nashville, Savannah, and Charleston, S.C., all ranked as the least rude of the 35 cities in the survey.

DFW is bad.. unless you go to the good part; It's called Plano and there is no reason to ever leave it.

The motto that runs through my mind while driving out here is very simple

"fuck you me first"

I've driven in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Mexico... across a bridge that goes over what I can only describe as the swamp pits of hell in Louisiana; down the Florida turn pike and all the way from Dallas to LA.

But I was never truly afraid for my life until I got to LA... Almost got rear ended by following the stop-light on the express way; exits that take up 3 of the 4 lanes on the highway i was 'on'. Crazy fuckers darting all around.

My teeth where chattering and my knuckles where white; it was, in fact, exhilarating!

Reminds me when I learned to drive, it was in LA, my buddy said we were going to a parking lot but he took me on Ventura freeway into LA 5pm. You slow down, you go squish. Flow or die. Very simple zen like concept that is part of the underlying organized madness of LA.

LA driving is cake compared to Chicago.

It's like Mad Max out here.

I've been to both and have to say LA is far worse. In fact I can't remember a single incident in NYC where someone was rude. My wife and I were in NYC for a week in September and didn't encounter a single jerk.

Boston was a different story altogether.....

Chicago was bad the last time I was there. Previous trips hadn't been a problem. The last one though sucked...same weekend we were in town there was a Bears game on Sunday, the Sox and the Cubs were both playing home stands, there was a PGA tournament going on and the Chicago Air & Water show was taking place. Traffic was nuts!

Damn it Philly, this won't do. 3rd place is the 2nd place loser! We can all unite and work together to earn the number one spot in rudeness.
