LA people: Affordable furniture stores?

i bought mine at the macy's furniture outlet.

Macy?s Mission Road Furniture Outlet
3880 N. Mission Road
Los Angeles, CA
323.227.2650
323.227.2665

(not sure which number is valid, i'd call first before you go.)

it's an outlet, so over half of the items is going to have something wrong with it. it depends on how bad it is and how nice of furniture you want if you want to take it. i bought my leather couch from there for a bit over 500 bucks, original price over 2000. the only problem with the couch? i think it used to be a floor model, so it was slightly discolored on the seats. however, once we got it home, you can't even see the discoloration - only if you shine a harsh light right on it.

but it's mostly items that macy's sells in its stores, so there will be some nice stuff. take your time searching the items, what the problems are, and see if it's worth it. and remember the tagged price usually isn't the final price - there is a color sticker/tag and that gives you an additional amount off.

when i bought this couch a few years ago, delivery was 75 bucks or you could take it yourself.

they have tons of other furniture - recliners, bedroom sets, dining sets, entire living room sets, etc.

Prices on CL haven't been as good as i thought they could be. Plus for something like a couch i'm not sure if i want to have something with somebody else's cooties. I'll probably go on CL for a dresser/table type stuff that i can lysol away.

The dock in downtown is fantastic. I found a sweet drawer set for $200 (high quality wood and construction). They have cool bbq's too and are very nice.

Would you happen to have an address?

I gotta try CL. I went to the dock this weekend and they had some nice stuff but it was really $$$. At least for me.
