Steam forums is full of whiners on this. Not to big of a surprise.

You think there's some annoying fanboys in the video forum? Check out the steam forums. You have no fucking idea. Its just a bunch of no-nothing douchebags spewing forth bullshit upon one another. If there ever is a redeeming post there, it gets drenched in troll piss and lost in the noise.

it definitely got harder. to the point that one guy is not going to save a noob team. The end game for blood harvest is more doable on the zombie side now, opening more opportunities during the corner camp.

Well my arguement against it is that ill take more damage and sitting in the corner during those triggered horde attacks will no longer work as well as it used to :frown: I like using cheap tactics its fun lol.

How is that even remotely fun?

You know how some guys like a challenge? Im not one of those guys, i just like to win heh.

Can't you just play easy mod co-op? :D

One of the things I hate about this game is the difficulty settings. I play single player, easy is retardedly easy, normal is stupid easy, advanced provides an ok challenge but really only on finales. Then there's expert: Extreme buttrape throughout. Hello? Can I have something in between advanced and expert?

Expert makes me want to /wrist because it ends up taking two hours or so on a campaign. Screw that.

Expert is better when you have a good team. I couldn't finish any map on expert due to the fact that it would take so long and I would get sick of playing the same level for the 8th time, until I played with some of my friends. We finished Death Toll on expert in 1 hr 15 min. If you have 4 contributing team members, it makes things much better. I would say with the right teammates, the experience for me does then fall between the usual Advanced and Expert settings.

my $.02

Using the same group of good friends with great teamwork can absolutely destroy the game on Advanced without breaking a sweat. What the others have mentioned about a difficulty more in between Advanced and Expert has plenty of merit.

IMO, only the absolute greenest players should be messing with Normal as all it takes is one player who knows at least partially what they are doing and Normal is a walk in the park. Advanced should also be the new standard. And I actually wouldn't mind a greater shuffling of difficulty, with a difficulty setting higher even that that of Expert.

The melee nerf is great. If I get swarmed by a horde now, spamming melee will only work for so long, then you're completely screwed. This has also made it harder to melee hunters to death.

Nerfed melee is rather annoying...

It actually imbalances things more though, because n00b teams get raped when they separate now.

Good teams who stick together are still fine, so i dunno...this does the opposite of balancing things...certainly forces more skill now.
