L337 Screen Hax0r video!!!

that's pretty cool.. I wonder how much amplification he could put on that piece of equipment and how far it could transmit? For instance, I wonder if he could take over multiple screens at once only using one transmitter under high amplification.

Coming soon to a prison near you...inventive geek...

I'm sure the authorities will take a dim view of such things...and expect prosecution to begin soon.

Damn. He must have worked for the companies that implement those things. Otherwise, how the fuck could you even KNOW they are fed video wirelessly?

Is this possibly shens? How is this possible?

It's possible if you fucking work for the company that implements that shit.

That's what I am guessing.

Btw, the amplification off of that iPhone attachment he has is fucking unreal. I'm guessing it's not FCC compliant.

EDIT: This is assuming it's all real, which is one hell of a stretch. (Exporting video through the audio jack? Getting enough power for the transmitter through that too? Eh)

How could this be not real? Umprobable!

Just a couple of things:

- not very familiar with iphone output jacks, but isn't he getting a video signal off of audio jack? Mad skillz!
- you want to tell me these monitors receive OTA signal? Please! They are all fed via a cable. You can repeat the video signal all you want, they won't be affected. Just like a video monitor on your computer.
- even if they were, how did he get the frequency
- even if he got the frequency, how did he get the coding/decoding
- even if he got all of the above, there's no way this puny piece of board with a small battery on it could produce a signal strong enough to override main OTA signal

and of course, if you click on the next set of videos, you can see the fake CNN or whatever interviews about the incident, and all the other viral ad shit. God, I start to hate those.

it doesn't matter what shape or size the hacked screen is because the hack video will simply keep its correct dimensions and the rest of the hacked space will stay black.
*groan

Seriously, OP. Don't feed this "1337" troll.
