hey guys.

I am in the process of making a deal with YZZIM (good guy, right?) for a HERCULES 3D PROPHET 4500 KYRO II 64MB AGP vid card.

Anyways, the following is my system and I just wanna make sure I will not have any problems uninstalling my current voodoo 3 2000 AGP and installing the KRYO II:

-pentium 2 400 mhz
-256 mc pc133 sdram
-30 gb maxtor hd
-asus p299 motherboard
-voodoo 3 2000 AGP
-windows 2000 SP3

Everything will work alright if I uninstall my voodoo drivers, take out the card, install the KYRO II, and install new drivers, correct?

BTW: DOES NEVERWINTER NIGHTS WORK WITH KRYO II? this game is the onyl reason I am upgrading.

thank you

I would probably format to remove the voodoo drivers completely. The Kyro II has massive incompatablitie issues (or so i hear). if i were you bro, i would get a geforce2 gts or radeon 7500, they are way more compatable and are probably in the price range of the kyro.

ok thanks for the info bud.

The KYRO II is much quicker than radeon and geforce 2, thats why I have decided to go with it.

I am hoping there are not any driver conflicting issues, if so I will simply reformat.

anybody who has a KRYO II, can you comment PLEASE?

My old Kyro II didnt seem to have any issues with my dads NWN.

To be honest, I played it for about 5 mins and didnt like it so I didnt see it in action for too long.

Check out my Kyro II benchmarks that I just did. It performs on par/better than a GF2 ultra. And in villagemark (and a slower system) it mops the floor with the GF4, but thats to be expected.

Hope that helps,
