Would this chipset be a better choice over a Geforce 2 MX 400? theya re about the same price and are both 64mbs but they kyro II has a faster CPU... i thought maybe the Geforce Drivers were better but i dont know any input on this?

Well i'm on my bro's computer and he has a Kyro II and WinXP running... runs great...no prob...except for that damn glitch in WinXP that puts the theme back to classic windows...but styleXP can fix that...performance wise...it runs great... but as you can see... PowerVR has been quiet lately...and while this card has been great in today's games...i doubt it would last for another year when new games kick in that uses features the Kyro doesn't have. But for $70...what else could you ask for?...i'm happy with it. :)

It depends on how fast your CPU is since it doesn't have hardware T&L

Check this thread over at the video forum for more info.

If you were gonna get an MX...you might as well get a Ti200...around $100+shipping. That card will outlast both an MX and a Kyro.

I agree with BoyRacer, get a Ti200 instead of the MX. But if I had to choose between the Kyro2 or MX, I'd go with the Kyro 2.

Well you could try pricewatch.com and then resellerratings.com to check if the vendor is reputable. if you don't feel too good about trying an unknown vendor you can try newegg.com... which is the vendor of choice around here on AT... although the Ti cost $120 with free shipping.... If all else fails... you should try the FS/FT forums here. :)
