The Parhelia isn't that bad,

It is when you consider that a $99 Radeon 8500 slaps it around. Also would you put a Radeon 8500 into a 3.06 GHz system? Maybe, but it's not what I'd call an optimal match.

BFG10K: Maybe he actually uses his computer for something other than gaming? Like work?

3.06 GHz for a work computer? An Audigy 2 for a work computer? Perhaps for multimedia I guess.

I don't think anyone disputes the Parhelia has the best 2d image quality available, and maybe he looks at his display enough not to want a 9700 or GF FX?

I'm certain any Radeon board can give it a run for its money.

no, i've seen the parhelia. Radeons have nice 2d, but it is no where near as good as that of the Parhelia.
