I hope they step up their Win2k drivers.

My rig gets 2/3s the scores of Anand's Kyro2 review.
The only significant difference is that his rig is Win98SE and mines Win2k.

I'm a Duron, not an Athlon. But same clock/FSB. Same hard drive, I have more RAM. I have an extra PCI card.....nothing that should make up a 35FPS loss...except Win2k...:(

Other than that the Kyro2 is an awesome card.

And I hope this is true about the Kyro3, more competitors is always good.

Quake3 is the only game we have in common. I don't play any of the other games he reviewed.

Rune is UT engine, but it's not UT so it's not quite fair.

My 3Dmark2001 score was also a mighty 1499.

Not that I really give a crap about 3Dmark scores but I'm not terribly impressed with the Kyro2's performance under Win2k. And I'm not the only one.

well, make sure texture compression is turned on. You will gain 20-30fps with TC on

What kind of scores do you get?

The more competition in the video card market the better... we don't want an NVIDIA >>> MICROSOFT situation.

BTW Does anybody think Matrox will ever re-enter the market at a level that will draw gamers to their products.

Possibly....but probably not anytime soon.
