Figures huh? I move my brother's K2 to my system and I get the crashing problem that he didn't have. :/

It's wierd, at any random point Unreal Tournament will just freeze in video, the audio just keeps on playing like normal, and the HDD just starts grinding away. I think it's a Kyro problem anyway, seeing as it didn't happen on my Voodoo4. (The Voodoo4 just got traded off to a friend for a Voodoo3 to have as a backup card.) I've heard of people having UT either restart, or shutdown thier PCs, but never make it freeze and cause the HDD to grind for all eternity. I've only been able to keep it from crashing my whole system once by giving it the three finger salute, and hitting enter repeatedly.

Nemesis? PowerVR? Guys? Help?

Sounds like some of your Voodoo drivers are still in the system clashing with the Kyro.

Nope. Uninstalled 3dfx tools, rebooted, deleted everything in the registry that had anything to do with 3dfx, and removed all 3dfx drivers/files from my HDD.

Oh, forgot one. It runs fine in OpenGL mode....just incredibly slow. Like 20fps when looking down an empty hallway. Needless to say, that's not acceptable.

Edit: ::Misses Glide fiercely::

Uhhh...nevermind... Basically, I'm stupid. I forgot one little thing in the removal of my old V4 drivers....removing it from the Device Manager. I went into Safe Mode and removed it there, and now it runs fine. Just goes to show you, just cuz you did something the long, precise, intelligent way, doesn't mean you did it right. :/

Sorry about not being around to help with your problem but I hardly ever visit Anandtech these days, I now usually frequent PowerVR specific forums.
