He owns the site. He can do as he pleases and has no "moral obligation" to do anything at all. Choosing to disrespect his users may make him a bad business man, but he has no obligation to anyone other than himself. If the sites that are advertising don't like the content of his site or the level of respect he has for members, then they can pull their ads. I'm not disagreeing that he is an asshole, frankly because I've never been to that site, so wouldn't know, but to say he has a moral obligation is ridiculous.
