KVMs and "fancy" mice/kb

I've recently set up a second computer, and bought an IOGear KVM to simplify my life. However, I ran into the problem that the KVM (PS/2 model, GCS52U) basically made my microsoft natural multimedia keyboard and logitech mx700 appear as generic devices. Does anybody know of a better KVM solution? I think perhaps a purely USB based one might work better, since USB is hot-pluggable and the KVM wouldn't have to do any emulation at boot time. Of course, this would mean I would have to get a USB keyboard... any thoughts? All I want is to be able to use all the functionality of my nice input devices on two computers! Why is this so hard?

I have this one right here and my MX700 works great through it, as it did on the 2port version I had before.

I use the GCS-102U which is usb based. I have a MS Wireless Desktop. Strange thing is, the reciever has a USB for mouse and PS2 for keyboard. If I plug the Keyboard in to the KVM with a special PS2 to USB adapter my special keys don't work and it appears generic. However, if JUST the mouse usb connector is plugged in, it recognized the keyboard as well and the special keys work.

PS2 appears to cause problems with emulation. USB appears to be the best choice for KVMs from my experience.

Suppose there isn't anything out there that can do dvi and usb?
I've got a wireless setup that I wouldn't mind switching.

Damn, and I just bought the iogear GCS14 for $64 + $5 shipping.

I never noticed the Zonet. Right now I use two mice, so I can use my gaming and all around work machine with my Itellimouse Optical while my other mouse goes through the kvm for the servers.

This KVM device from Belkin does just that, USB and DVI. I was thinking of getting one, but then sticker shock kicked in...

There haven't been too many DVI KVM's at all until fairly recently and even now the selection is pathetic. Add USB into the mix and things get even bleaker.

I know for a fact that Belkin makes a USB/DVI KVM and one of the other semi-major KVM companies recently came out with one too. Gefen also makes one but it's pretty expensive.
