KVM switch with wireless mouse

Here is my dilemma 🙂 I bought a PS/2 KVM switch (misread advertisment). I have a PS/2 keyboard and a wireless USB mouse. I have to buy an adapter to make my USB mouse into a PS/2 mouse. Now if I run this into a KVM switch, will it work?

Funnily enough I have an archaic PS/2 KVM that will take my wireless mouse, but not a wired one. The wired one is optical and going through a USB->PS/2 adapter and loses power during the switching and sometimes just doesn't come back on. The wireless one has a battery for the mouse and the receiver that plugs into the KVM doesn't seem to mind the power switch.

Anyway, keep your eyes open buying the USB-PS/2 adapter. Most of the time these depend on the mouse being specially wired so they don't work between brands, etc..
