KVM switch problems

I purchased an old manual AT switch off of someone. It works great except that if i try to use any resolution higher than 8x6 I get nasty shadowing. This stuff gives me a headache. Is there anything I can do to help it support higher resolutions?

thx, skza

You might try a set of high resolution cables but only if your switch supports higher settings. I had same problem with my Belkin Omniview 4 port, picked up 2 sets from here and I'm running at 1280 by 1024. Cableclub

i do not think manual switches can handle higher resolutions then 8x6 simply because of its design.
for a kvm to handle high resolutions up to 16x12 you need high quality cables and a kvm switch with the button instead of manual toggle.

okay, gonna go down to the local computer shop and get a better video cable, if that doesn't work, then i'm buying a new KVM

thx,
