KVM + Printer switch?

i know that there's KVM switches, but i haven't seen any that have printer switches as well.

are there any more obscure ones that i don't know about? if not, can someone recommend a cheap switch that allows two computers to use the same printer?

thanks

I've never seen a KVM with printer either. I honestly think one of the better printer sharing options is to put an NIC in both computers and have a home network ($40). That way you can share files, share a printer, share an internet access, and play network games together. Even if a printer switch cost less than $40, it just won't provide the same benefits.

i can't do that. for safety reasons, the two computers are on two different networks. due to proximity, one printer has to be shared between two computers that are on different networks.

looks like im gonna have to get one of those $40 printer switches. what a waste.:disgust:

Why not just get a plain parallel port switch - I bought one a while back and don't remember paying more than $20 or so for it, if that much. I can't imagine one costing $40. Then you'd need to flip the KVM and the parallel port switch, but that's not a big deal, really.
