KVM or No KVM...

I have parts for two new systems on the way, along with 2 new LCD monitors. I want to be able to use 1 keyboard and 1 mouse between both computers and their associated LCD monitors. Is this possible?

I know of a application called synergy, however I am looking for a hardware application like a KVM (DVI preferably). I know a KVM would be perfect if I wanted to share 1 monitor, but I want to be able to have two monitors and two computers, and only share the keyboard and mouse if possible. Thanks A LOT for any help on this matter!

This seemed obvious to me... but you can use a KVM without monitors plugged into it at all.

yeah, you can buy pretty much any kvm switch to accomplish what yo want. cheaper and no worries of video quality being affected. just find some cheap belkin option.

HAHA To be honest I never even considered not plugging the monitors in. Guess I was over thinking the problem, and didn't look at the obvious. Thanks to you both for pointing out what I missed! Cheers.
