Hello all,

I just bought a logitech MX duo to replace the first generation logitech cordless mouse and keyboard I have had for 5+ years. When I plug the MX Duo into my KVM, I lose the mouse everytime I switch to a new computer. The only way to get it back is to reboot. This defeats the purpose of a KVM.

Does anyone here use the MX Duo with a KVM? If so, please give me the make and model of your KVM so I can get it as well. Thanks a lot.

I am looking the Trendnet products from NewEgg. Any opinions?

LED,

Do you have the USB, or PS/2 version? How many nodes?

I am starting to think USB ones have a better success rate than the PS/2 ones.

For those who care (which doesn't seem to be too many people) TRENDnet seemed to have KVMs that worked (from some reports that I read) so I took the leap and bought a TX-801R. Right now I have 3 computers hooked up and I am switching between them at will. I have yet to lose the mouse.

I have not installed the software for the special key functions as this is not important to me. All I wanted was for the mouse/keyboard to work.

I use a kvm switch for os/2, linux and winsp computers. I only have a problem with the logitech drivers. I installed the logitech drivers for my new laser mouse and I lost the scroll wheel when switching back to the xp machine. Unplugging and replugging the mouse brought it back. The default microsoft driver does not lose the scroll whell but it doesn't support the extra buttons. Logitech does not support use with a throughput device but it seems only to be a driver issue. I wish I could contact them to point out the shortsightedness of their position.
