I hope to buy this mobo next week and I want to know anyone have own this mobo? Any Pro and con on this board?

It's works fine at the stock settings. But when I bumped up the cpu vcore to 1.55 (the max setting), the bios only showed 1.44 volts. So it's not an overclocker's board. But at stock settings with all 4 memory slots filled, no problems so far. I'm able to run at 220 fsb, but it won't post when cold booting. Could be my power supply. I had to use the reset button once or twice to get it running at 220, or wait for the system to warm up to overclock. Also, be sure to set your command rate to 2T, or flash the bios to the latest version for running your memory at 200. With all 4 memory slots filled, you must set the memory to manual to run at 200 even with the venice core.

If you look closely, it has 4 dimm slots. I use 2 sticks of pqi pc3200 plus 2 sticks of generic pc3500.

maybe I should stay away from this mobo?
I was thinking about overclock CPU even I never done with it before. and stock fan with cpu worth for overclock?

I would go for nforce3 if you don't plan on changing your agp card. Epox makes some good nforce3 boards for overclocking. But I don't know how well they run with dual core cpus. The asrock dual sata II board with agp and pci-e is also available, but doesn't have much for overclocking either. The most important item for overclocking is the voltage settings in the bios. I would download the manual off the manufacturer's website before ordering and check the voltage adjustments.

Thanks, I decided to try KV2 Lite yesterday and installed 2 stick of 256K MB and it runs fine for 20 minutes and crashed. Manual did not explain what SJ1 jumper is for so I play around I can't tell the difference.
So far it has been stable since last crash. I can't find other brand names you mentioned at Fry's store yesterday i think they are sold out real fast.

If you need any information on overclocking this board, I finally figured out how to do it. I'm running stable at 250 fsb (2500). That's not bad for such an inexpensive board.

How? And I am bit concerned about CO will short CPU life.

In short, set your memory to manual and 166. Set your LDT setting down from 1 gig to 800. Set your cpu vcore from startup to 1.47, and your multiplier to 10x. Also, be sure to set your agp lock at 66, and disable spread spectrum. With the memory at 166, 250 for the cpu is easy. The cpu vcore is undervolted. The maximum voltage reported by the bios was only about 1.44.

Are you sure about that? Do you have an insurance? 🙂

Tech support for the ESC KV2 lite says about the SJ1 jumper: the jumper is for special testing purposes, not for the end user.

Ah...thanks I guess I will have to take the jumper out and also welcome to Anandtech forum, Tiger7.
