I keep hearing on CNN that Kuwati prisoners from the 91 Gulf War have been found in Iraq.

Does anyone have a link to the story?

Does anyone have a reason that Iraq would hold on to them for so long.

Does anyone else remember that it was a condition of 1441 for Iraq to declare what had happened to all of the prisoners that they took out of Kuwait?

Ive only heard confirmation that they are looking for them, not found so far. They are also looking for an Air Force pilot missing since the 91 war as well.

From what I recall, I think there were some 600 Kuwaitis that had disappeared during the Iraq occupation. These are the ones being looked for although I haven't heard, nor do I expect, of anything favorable that has come to light.

Edit: Chris A, nice find. I hadn't expected that any of those missing Kuwaitis would ever see the light of day again.
