Nice to see I'm not the only one not sorry to see he's gone and wish that people would stop pining over his loser ass.

The man had everything that most people dream of! Lead singer in the most popular band in north america and possibly the world at the time, leading what was then the new wave of music, millions in cash, wife, kids, the ability to do practically anything he wanted in life.

So what does he do with it? Eats buckshot.

Fvck Kurt Cobain. :|

If his life was that crappy, I would have been happy to relieve it of some of the above elements (not the wife, of course). :disgust:

Wow it's funny to see a large group of people pissed off at someone who's been dead for 10 years with little or no reason whatsoever to justify it.

One could argue that he singlehandedly almost ended rock&roll as a viable musical genre. Piss on grunge, a useless and depressing form of music.

Exactly. I mean, the same rehashed hair metal that was so prevalent at the time was never going to get old. While we're at it, let's try to figure out what we can pin on Jimi.

The same "rehashed hair metal" was not the totality of rock&roll, not by a long shot. However, grunge did pretty much kill off album rock as a radio format.

It did? How's that?

Also, of course hair metal wasn't all there was. But who's place did Nirvana, and grunge in general, take? A fresh sound is never bad for music. Elvis wasn't bad for music. Neither was Hendrix, neither was Nirvana, neither was Floyd, neither were any of the other bands I'm forgetting to mention.

It's because I liked the stuff that came before grunge a LOT better than grunge itself. You know I'm right... ;)

Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains. Nuff said ;) That being said, Nirvana is the weakest of the bunch imo. They do get all the credit, though. Rightly so to some extent. *shrugs*

As far as the stuff before grunge being better... There's more good music pre-grunge, but not necessarily better quality music. Post-grunge era is where rock really died. Rock can only exist on Blink 182 and Offspring for so long. Then we got the fvcking nu-metal whiners. *sigh* :(

*For those who haven't read any of his bio's*

1. Kobain had a stomach illness/disease that no doctor ever correctly diagnosed and treated.
2. Because of this he turned to heroin as it very much eased the constant pain of his stomach.
3. Heroin is bad, mmmkay.
4. He tried many times to get off heroin, he was never successful.
5. Heroin addiction + his dread of being famous/in the public eye + stomach pain basically drove him off the deep end.

*end brief bio*

Those of you arguing opinions: keep going, you'll get real far in your arguments.

Well, we're in agreement there. What passes for "rock" these days is pathetic. :)

Nirvana really impressed me when I first heard them (I was 12 when they were big... I didn't really get into them until I was in my teens, though, a few years after Kurt died).

I think his death was a tragedy. It's really sad that someone so talented and loved by millions felt so alone and depressed that he was driven to suicide.

AND add to that, he was married to Courtney Love! And from what I understand, the marriage was falling apart, on the verge of divorce. I'm sure that wasn't some walk in the park either.

i knew his dumb ass in real life. just another junky jackass. no-talent motherfunker. he should have did us all a favor and killed his skank-ass doped-up whore of an old lady too.
Ponder this, for a no talent junky ass Motherfscker he was able to achieve success and wealth that you and I only could dream of.

Nobody said that the free market was fair, Red.

If you watch any of the multiple TV shows or go to the websites that discuss how shady the investigation of Kurt Cobains "suicide" was. You will probably agree with the fact that he more than likely did not kill himself.

Theres literally hundreds of shady details, a few i recall off the top of my head would be:

Courtney Love skipped the room Kurt was dead in TWICE when searching the house with investigators, and said it was a locked storage room.

He had over SEVEN TIMES the lethal dose of heroin in his bloodstream when he died. Forenzics experts said he would never have been able to lift or aim the shotgun.

Speculation + Justification of suicide. There's a real winner.
