Kucinich, you're about two years too late. For this to mean anything, it should have been brought against Bush years ago... not with 8 months left in his presidential term.

2) What high crimes and misdemeanors has Bush committed? Being unpopular and stupid isn't a crime.

I don't see any category under which Bush fits.

3) Congress grow a pair? Its the House that starts the impeachment process, and the Senate that votes. Congress has no say in a presidential impeachment

Are you daft? Kucinich is a member of the House of Representatives, one of the two houses of Congress, the other being the Senate. Perhaps you can re-state your lame ass question? Of course Congress has a say in a presidential impeachment!

Arrghh. I wasn't thinking. For some reason, I created a separate governemnt branch in my mind. I apologize. My point still stands though, that they have no grounds to impeach Bush.

I'm enjoying the show but don't they have more important issues right now? Gas prices, the economy, steroids... anything would be more productive than this. They should've done this long ago.

Congress not going along with countless bad Bush policies alone is worth its weight in gold.

Anything they do on top of that - and ethics reform and the Senate report on the White House's propaganda in the leadup to the Iraq war are good examples - is gravy.

Yes, they're unable to do all kinds of things without a real majority in the Senate (Lieberman) and facing a veto. Just this week the Repubs made the clerk read a 500 page bill aloud...

Yes there is. Even though we have failed for the past 7 years, we can still show that Americans don't stand for tyranny. This can even serve as a basis for reestablishing our damaged relationship to other big governments and show to the world that Americans are able and willing to stop being sheep to its government.

Congress = Senate + House of Representatives. Once the HoR passes it through a majority vote then it'll move on to the Senate. The Senate must pass a majority vote in favor of the hearing and can only convict through a 2/3rds majority.

Remember everybody, EMAIL OR CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE!! I just emailed two district representatives (as I'm moving back and forth between districts). Tell them to represent you and pass this in the house! If you're feeling ballsy then ask them where they were for the past seven years in office and why they haven't initiated any actions for removing our President from office.

Hey, Bush said he had no war plans on his desk (they were in the drawer, Rumsfeld's desk, etc.) It's a vague enough phrase not to rule out plans developing for impeachment.
