With your config get RAID for sure. Use RAID controller for HD and aditional IDE for CD-ROM's. Yes you can connect HD to RAID without stripping or mirroring. All drives will be as a Master(I like it).

it is kinda waste to put it like that


i have a 75gxp and a 34gxp

if i use raid i will lose one hardisk for that just for a slidely performance boost

please recommend me how to config the 75gxp, 34gxp, cdrw and cdrom
