KT7 RAID printer problem

While printing on Canon 6200S printer, mouse motion becames very slow, can't almost do anything else on the computer. Have to wait till printing is done. I'm connected on paralel port. I've seen post about this problem a while ago, but just can't find it agian. Any suggestions?

ecp/epp enable in the bios? If that doesn't work try over here.
