KT7-Raid or A7V-Raid

What do you think. Tested both? How would you compare the 2 boards. I have only used the KT7 with no major probs.

Yeah, I was just going to ask a similar question except I don't think I need the raid capabilities. This will be my first time building a computer by myself. Is one motherboard easier in any way or does one require less technical knowledge? I know the KT7 is a favorite of overclockers due to it's softmenu, but I don't think I'm going to be overclocking this time around. Just curious if anyone out there had any input. It seems like every site picks one of these two as the motherboard to have, but I haven't seen a good definition of what the differences are and why some people prefer one over the other. I know they're both good which is why it's so hard to decide. Thanks, -Stony

No, they don't. But the Promise controller on the Asus board is the same one as in the Promise RAID card. Through some aggressive jiggery-pokery and BIOS flashes, it is possible to get the RAID functionality on the A7V. The instructions are posted somewhere - search these and other forums.

I just build a Abit KT7 raid system and the whole system went together
without one problem, It was the smoothest computer I put together so
far. I also have a brand new Asus AtV motherboard that was shipped
to me stil in the box. I have it listed forsale at this site.
