KT7 CPU temperature?

My KT7 RAID runs great (Duron 700, 256 MB Infineon PC133 RAM, Win2k Pro and Win98SE) but I wonder how high the CPU temperature really is, because the temperature sensor is in fact under the CPU. Can I trust the values or how much higher are the CPU temperature values really?

I have the COOLERMASTER CF5-5G11 and in the bios shows about 38 to 41°C for the CPU after I used the PC for a few hours (various applications, benchmarks ...).

It depends on what version of the BIOS you have. The newest version (1004 I believe) adds a compensation to the measured temperature to make it pretty close to the actual core temperature..

My sensor gives me a reading of 41-50 celsius at idle. I have a TBird 800, not overclocked, with the retail TaiSol HSF.
Gets up to 55 or so after gaming.

i here that's around the right temp...
mine is about 28-30 idle...but that's because my ambient is 19-23 ...
ish wery coooold here...to me that is...

I have a Duron 700 at 1083MHz on a kt7 (non-Raid) with 128MB PC-133, Win2K, etc. CPU temp generally hovers around 37 degrees celcius. Ambient case temp is usually 24 degrees celcius.
