KT7 and Aureal cards...?

I am gonna go ahead an order a shiny new 1GHz TBird tomorrow and an Abit KT7, but my current sound card is an old vortex1 based card. Is there any workaround the problems with them at the KT7..I will be dead broke after I buy the other stuff...someone must know..?
