KT4 Ultra SATA Problems

I recently purchased a MSI KT4 Ultra Motherboard (MS-6590) and I have tried to use the serial ATA but every time I my pc boots up it gives me the following error: no drive attached to the fast track controller. Bios is not installed.
When I do hook up the cables to the hard disk raid connectors it gives me the following when I try to boot:
Fast track does not detect the proper interrupts.
Check the PCI IRQ setup and make sure that the pci slot supports the master bus operation.

I have installed every driver that came with my motherboard and in my hardware config in control panel it shows that the fast track controller is installed properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure adaptor is connected properly to your HD. 2 power input secure properly to both your HD and adapter.

get into bios
Under Integrated Peripherals -> onboard PCI controller
enable Serial ATA
then save and exit.

Immediately go back to BIOS.
under Boot Sequence Make sure you have TX4000 in there. And enable "boot other device"
then Save and exit.

edit: make sure your HD jumper is on Master for (seagate), Cable select for (maxtor Plus9)

edit 2: clean install winxp, treat it like a SCSI device by pressing F6 and insert your FD. (why?)
I dont' really know, but CPU utilization for pre-install xp and use up to 45%.
Clean install via "SCSI" style lower the CPU utilization down to 9%.

note: Onboard controller seems to be faster than Promise Fasttrak PCI card. Especially when you are doing video editing. Also you notice great speed increase when you doing Defrag.
