KT3 Ultra problem with WIN XP and XP2200

Anyone aware of a conflicts with KT3 Ultra and WIN XP? I have udated the BIOS to v5.6. WIN 98 and 2000 pro will install but XP pro craps out everytime. Tried other versions of XP pro and Home and no version will install they all die. Here is the hardware
MSI KT3 Ultra
256 mb Kingston PC2100
XP2200
Visiontek GF4 4600 TI
Maxtor 40gb HD

All other OS seem to work fine. Really wierd. Any help would be great. Thanks

Have you tried flashing to the old BIOS, installing XP, and then once it is working putting the new one on? That is a wierd thing to happen.

Sounds like the same thing you may be suffering...
Turned out to be a prob with the 2200+ & his board(s).
