I voted for the AK35GT cause of the onboard audio. Hoping to get some updated quality audio. :)

I have read that both the Shuttle and Soltek boards are solid in terms of performance and stability. You can't really go wrong with either one of them.

I'd have to go with the MSI K7T266 Pro 2 or FIC AN11 Stealth (if I could find it!....) But from the above list, I'd go with the Shuttle.

Reviews of the shuttle board are at best, not very good. I wouldn't touch it or any other shuttle board as they all aren't very stable compared to others. Soltek I've used and it doesn't impress me, its an ok board. I'd get Abit or Epox, its a toss up, both great boards.

If I were to get another KT266A it would be Abit or Asus again. FIC AN11 is nice too, I'd have to see the price on it.

Well out of those I would get the Soltek since the ABIT option doesn't have raid. But... out of all the KT266A boards I would get the Soyo Dragon Plus, and I did. :)

Epox 8KHA+ all the way. And yes it is very fussy about the quality of your psu, get a good one and at least a 340W. Secondly, the ram slots are tight, and I mean tight. Make sure you fully seat the ram. I made sure I did that right from the start and it's been great, see my stats for how far I've pushed it. cool;

I also had cold boot problems when I had my asus A7A266. Well I'm using a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE. Its very stable and you could find it for a really good price.

<< Reviews of the shuttle board are at best, not very good. >>

AAO - where did you see reviews on the Shuttle that were not very good? I am looking for a new board and am actually leaning toward the Shuttle because of the good reviews. I have only seen two though (Anand and ExtremeTech) and would be interested in reading the reviews that you are referring to.

There are many, and to sum them up they say its a average board with more features then normal shuttle boards. The performance is poor, and stability with all the DIMMs full sucks. Don't go cheap on your motherboard, its the most important part of your system. The next system I build with be with the FIC AN11 I think, I like their boards, super stable.
